My love of Dahlia's began back in Ballarat about 6 years ago when I was introduced to them by my 93 year old neighbour Minnie. Whilst Minnie had an array of colours, I started with just 2 white tubers. This has now multiplied ten fold but still all white, I will endeavour to get more adventurous and source a few more different varieties and colours for next season though.

Wow - what a humbling evening, surrounded by the best of the best at the National Gallery of Victoria. So many talented designers and architects, all with amazing clients and brief and lots of COLOUR, COLOUR, COLOUR.

Even got to meet the dog, her name was Penny! Congratulations to all the winners from the evening and to Dulux - what a great night.

I'm hoping this helps to put Ballarat on the design scene, the food scene is definitely there and the commercial & hospitality design scene is following.

As a designer it's hard not to become all consumed in a project and ride the waves with the client and then you step away. Most of my work is with private residential clients, which I love, but it was certainly fun to be part of the team to work on the Provincial Hotel and it's restaurant Lola's makeover and continue to read lovely articles like this one. A sneak peak into this fresh little renovation in Lake Wendouree.

You've got to admire a client who is so brave with colour! So much fun, a burst of colour around every corner!

The old disused stables were given 8 weeks of love by dedicated builders and tradesman and the wet paint dried just in time for the first guests arrival...

It's not every day a client's cat tries to contribute to our design samples. 

My four year old said there wasn't enough pink in her room and she couldn't sleep, so let's get some pink in there with some pom poms!
